Personal Profile
Education Background:Ma Ye obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand (2025 QS World Ranking 65), under the Scholarship of the National High-level University Scholarship for Scholarships for Scholarships for Scholarships of National High-level Universities from 2012 to 2017. During his PhD, his research project was “Development and application of neuromusculoskeletal modeling to improve the rehabilitation effect of gait rehabilitation robot”.
Work experience: Ye Ma is currently an associate researcher at the Institute of Health Research, School of Physical Education and Sports, Ningbo University, Ningbo, China. He is the chairperson of one youth project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, one project of Zhejiang Provincial Social Science Planning Program, and one project of Ningbo Municipal Natural Science Foundation. He has participated in 2 top-level projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project funded by the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical System and Vibration of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and 1 project funded by the Ministry of Education of China for Humanities and Social Science Research. Participated in 2 key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 key R&D project of the Science and Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, and 1 key project of the Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project of Zhejiang Province. Applied for 1 software copyright. So far, he has published 22 papers in SCI/SSCI journals, 2 papers in domestic Class A journals and 4 papers in EI conferences, with a total of more than 500 citations. He is the reviewing editor of Frontiers in Neurorobotics, a SCI journal. He has been serving as a reviewer for several SCI journals for a long time. He is a member of the Rehabilitation Medical Equipment and Technology Branch of China Medical Equipment Association, and a director of Ningbo Sports Science Association.
Current Research Interests: His main research interests include neuromusculoskeletal modeling and simulation, 3D motion analysis, clinical and sports applications of machine learning, rehabilitation assessment of motor neurological disorders (e.g., stroke, cerebral palsy, etc.), R&D of physical education teaching aid systems, and research on the mechanisms of sports injuries, etc. He is also a member of the Chinese Medical Equipment Association (CMEA) and the Ningbo Sports Science Association.
